No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one.

 

 

It’s close to one on a school night and I am still as wide awake (no, I’m not doing maths…SGD$6 million dollar boy Darwin stole my graphic calculator!) and hyper as an unattended kid in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory after just participating in a candy apple eating contest. The reason? Tomorrow’s going to be the first time in eighteen years (that’s right… eighteen years) that I will finally get to have kuih on Hari Raya. Okay, so it still won’t be anything close. We’ll still have chips and coke,we won’t have the 30 days of visiting (well, we only have a one house visiting thing), will still have the segmentation between the different groups and we’ll still have people who follow the Indian Standard Time (IST) and arrive five hours later then the proposed meeting time even when the hosts adjusts to meet our IST. Some things will just never change but I guess I can’t complain. Having a Hari Raya this year that is 5% closer to the original is really as exciting as watching two shooting stars fall from the sky while spelling my name.

Main point: I AM EXCITED!

Tomorrow is going to be awesome no matter how the day turns out. (maybe pictures tomorrow :D)

As of now, I officially have only one day before my prelims start. The more horrifiying thing is that my first paper is Economics and I haven’t even started on it yet. I am doomed to the max. I have been trying to get myself to study these past few days but have been pretty much failing quite terribly at it.  know I have to study but my body doesn;t work until pressure sets in (i.e. the day before the paper itself) that’s when i can suddently remeber everything but then, in the end, I end up nwow finishing everything and I can already predict an on coming train wreck - Physics and Mathematics on the same day. Best part is that we end late the day before. Seriously, who comes up with these timetables?
